snap crackle pop

Once again I have been a real blog slacker... anyone actually relying on this as a timely update of my many adventures has surely been disappointed as of late. However I am here now and typing... so maybe, just maybe I will be able to redeem myself in this posting.

Let's see... what would be of amusement to those of you out there reading...

now here is where the problem ensues.... I actually for once in my all too jumbled year of craziness.... have very little to share with anyone. My life has actually gone from boiling to the desirable slow simmer needed to progress to a successful main course... pardon the cooking analogy... I think my tummy is growling for lunch.

But no seriously, things are going well. I like my job. I like where I am living. And most of all I like the aspect of stability. I know where I am, I know where I am going, and I know where I want to be. Now it is just a matter of juggling the day to day to keep every thing in balance.

As far as the quick and dirty work world update:
I am now the contract pre-planner forester for both DC and PG county. Until they hire on another forester, I will likely "bounce" back and forth between the areas. Only problem with this is that each area has its own mindset and way to completing work according to customers and just area politics. So I spend a lot of time shifting gears as I get projects from each area. However all in all it is good because I get to work in two entirely different areas which provides a great learning experience over all.

long time no type

I would like to say for the record the past 2 weeks have been the craziest of my life in terms of where I have been and where I am going. So here is the quick and dirty timeline:

• End of Nov.
• Had my last days at work, mom flew down, and drove back with me we-- left on Tues before Turkey Day
• That Wed consisted of unpacking the FL stuff from my truck... and trying to decide what to pack up for my trip north
• Turkey Day - Spent time with family
• That Friday - Did a mini version of Black Friday shopping in W'burg and then packed up the truck and headed North to DC
• Weekend consisted of unpacking, being social, and not much else
• Started the new job on Tues -- (don't know if i mentioned it previously but I have gotten a transfer to DC with my company... similar work... closer to home/family/friends)
• Beginning of Dec
• Offically have worked my first week in DC/MD... (traffic is going to be quite the learning experience)
• Bought a bed finally - (My room is now feeling more like mine and more comfy :) )
• Watched that Tech/FSU game -- (pesky refs and and thier inability to get their heads out of someone's ass... No Orange Bowl for us now... thanks FSU/the state of Florida/ and other assorted responsible parties)

Today I am going to have myself a nice "lazy sunday" as some of my friends call it. I have lots of cleaning and organizing to do in my room. So the plan is to hang around be lazy and get a few things accomplished.

Work tomorrow... damn, the weekends here are just too short!
